Our Toadstool Party for Little L

Monday 4 November 2013
Celebrating my Little L's birthday with

cake decorating, animal hat making, toadstools and friends...

Our toadstool inspired cake with bunting flags.

Making hats, homemade cake ,cake pops and shaking our lametta shakers!
I am really pleased that we had a crafty party as it covered all ages and both boys and girls. Making animal woodland hats and icing cakes seemed to go down well. The little ones ate the icing instead of icing the cakes, but hey that's fine!

I made Little L a cake and her Godmother made these amazing cake pops and covered them in sugar art to match the theme. I wanted a toadstool cake but after our cat went missing (now found) we had to cut corners.

We had rolls (cobs in Derbyshire) from the local bakers just like my Gran used to give me, sandwich triangles, little iced cakes and treats for birthday tea. I must say a big thank you to all my family and friends for helping with the day. I could not have done anything without you! Love you xxx .

The local village hall was a good idea as all the glitter and glue was kept out of our house! It came well equipped to clean up afterwards. I could of had glitter in the carpets for weeks so I would recommend to any family thinking of a children's party.

Next year... well the ideas are already there!

See you next post,
